Advantages of TREC cards Over TREM Cards:

TREC uses the ERG system used by South African Emergency Services.

CEFIC TREM cards use the European system of Hazard Identification (HI) numbers, that are not compatible with ERG Numbers and are not recognized in the standards or the regulations and could cause confusion in an emergency.

TRECS have been formulated by the SABS for South Africa and adhere to SANS 10232-4.

CEFIC TREM cards do not adhere to SANS 10232-4.

TREC pricing is entirely rand based.

Prices for CEFIC TREM cards are based on British Pounds Sterling.

All our TREC resources are situated in Johannesburg and are not dependent on input from external service providers.

How long is a Trec valid for?

SABS 10231 allows for a period of 3 years from date of issue.

Red-lined stationary is available from Trec @ R1-00 per sheet.

Trec cards may be printed at Trec at an additional cost of R2-00 per card.
